Eight times Olympic champion Ole Einar Bjoerndalen said they want to continue working with Chinese team in biathlon.
The Norwegian has been the head coach of the Chinese national team since 2019, the deal with the team expired in March 2022.
“I have something to teach the Chinese athletes, and they can teach me something. Participating in this is incredibly educational. I don’t regret having coached the Chinese team. It’s a sport I love. Of course, all is not well here, but all is not always well in Norway either,” said Bjoerndalen, quoted by NRK in reference to Bygdeposten.
According to the publication, the 48-year-old specialist is currently in dialogue about further cooperation with the Chinese team.
