Viktor Sivkov, coach of the remaining squad of the Russian national skating team, told he turned down a “tempting offer” from China because of his desire to stay on the national team.

“The offer was very tempting, but I wanted to continue what I started here, with the team,” Sivkov told .
Athletes from the Sivkov group Ruslan Zakharov and Daniil Aldoshkin, along with Sergey Trofimov, set an Olympic record in the team race at the 2022 Games and became silver medalists from the competition in Beijing.
