The Czech racer Davidova became the winner of the race in Annecy
Ukrainian biathlete Daria Blashko took second place in mass start at the summer tournament Martin Fourcade Nordic Festival in Annecy, hosted by the legendary Martin Fourcade.
Blaschko lost 10.5 seconds to the race winner Marketa Davidova of the Czech Republic. Italian Dorothea Wierer finished third.
Note that the women’s mass start at the Martin Fourcade Nordic Festival was held according to special rules. Athletes overcame five laps of 1.7 km, and at each firing line they could use three additional cartridges. If the biathlete did not close the target, then she had to serve a ten-second penalty.
The winner of the men’s mass start was the Frenchman Quentin Fillon-Maillet. Second place went to American Sean Doherty.
