Double Olympic medalist in biathlon Uliana Nigmatullina announced that she would miss the PARI stage of the Commonwealth Cup in Raubichi (Belarus) and spoke about the training camp spent with the men’s team of the Republic of Udmurtia.
Nigmatullina did not participate in the first stage of the Commonwealth Cup, which was held in Sochi.
– Good health, thank you! I’m doing my best not to get infected with a new wave of covid. I train with the Udmurtia junior men’s team. I have already organized three training camps in the mountains, in Terskol. One of them was a repairman without a team in April, and the third I just got back. All flat training camps take place in Izhevsk.
Has anything changed in your immediate plans? Will you miss the Commonwealth Cup in Raubichi, but take part in the Russian summer championship in Tchaikovsky?
“Yes, it’s true, I’m preparing for the Russian championship,” the Russian Biathlon Union (RBU) press service quoted Nigmatullina as saying.
The Commonwealth Cup stop in Raubichi will take place from September 15-18. The Russian Summer Biathlon Championship will be held in Tchaikovsky from September 24-27.
