The Biathlon Federation of Ukraine has found a new mentor for the team after the departure of Urosh Velepets.
The Ukrainian women’s biathlon team has received a new coach. According to Biathlon.com.ua, the coaching council decided that Alexander Kravchenko will train the team for the upcoming season. He was appointed to the position of senior coach, he will be assisted by Alexander Bilanenko and Oleg Merkushin.
Dates for the start of the first training camp, to be held in Syanki for both the men’s and women’s teams, have also been determined. Yuray Sanitra wards will start training on May 29, and the camp will last until June 15. The girls will start in the summer – from 4 to 19 June.
It will be recalled that the women’s team was left without a coach after Urosh Velepets left the post. The Slovenian specialist has already signed a contract with the German national team, where he will assist the head coach of the men’s team.
