The Executive Committee of the Russian Biathlon Union (RBU) distributed the prize money for Russian competitions in the 2022/23 season. This was reported by the union’s press service.
Following the meeting, the RBU Executive Committee distributed the total prize money as follows:
1. Russian Championship and Russian Cup (men and women) – 20,440,000 rubles;
2. Russian Championship and All-Russian competitions (juniors and juniors) – 9,036,000 rubles;
3. Payment to regional federations – 30,000,000 rubles are distributed among four age groups:
– for the Kyrgyz Republic and the Czech Republic (men and women) – 10,000,000 rubles,
– for PR and VS (juniors and juniors) – 10,000,000 rubles,
– for PR boys and girls aged 17/18 – 6,000,000 rubles,
– for PR boys and girls aged 15/16 years – 4,000,000 rubles.
— I consider it important to note two aspects of today’s decision of the Executive Committee. First, cash prizes will be paid to athletes not only among men and women, but also based on the results of junior and junior competitions. Secondly, our regional federations will be separately encouraged for the performance of their athletes in four age categories – among adults, juniors and in two youth ages. We plan to present the formula for the payment of end-of-season bonuses to our regional federations on September 26 at the coaches’ council in Tchaikovsky, which will be held within the framework of the Russian summer championship. The total amount of prize money provided for in the budget remained unchanged – 60 million rubles, – said RBU Chairman Viktor Maygurov.
