As it became known from , the International Biathlon Union (IBU) at the next congress of the organization will extend the suspension of the membership of the Russian Biathlon Union (RBU) and the Belarusian Biathlon Federation (BFB) until certain conditions are met.
Congress is expected to vote on proposals recommended by the IBU Board of Directors to extend the suspension of RRF and ESB membership until certain conditions are met.
RBU’s membership in the organization was suspended in March this year after the International Olympic Committee (IOC) recommended that athletes from Russia and Belarus not be allowed to participate in the tournaments due to the situation in Ukraine.
The IBU Congress will be held September 15-18 in Salzburg, Austria.
