Biathlete Loginov: “I don’t have to think about competitions now, I’m preparing for winter starts”

Double Olympic bronze medalist in biathlon Alexander Loginov on , he spoke about his health after illness and shared details of the training process at the base in Raubichi (Belarus).

Loginov will not race the PARI Commonwealth Cup leg races in Raubichi from September 15-18 due to health reasons; he has also not participated in the Sochi leg of the tournament before. Although he missed the competition, the world champion is training with the team.

– Now I have work in the first and second zones, volume training, with almost zero heart rate. So far, that’s all I can do.

The atmosphere in the group is hard-working and friendly. All the guys are in good shape. In each race, they will fight for the first places.

– We noticed you here not only with ski poles, but also with a camera. Is this a new hobby?

“Before, I had a camera. There were thoughts on how to acquire a more advanced technique. Before collecting here, I could already buy. Maybe tomorrow I’ll try it on the run.

— What can you say about the local track?

“I have known this track for a long time. She is very interesting. There are some good climbs here – both short and long, and quite steep. So, I won’t say it’s very complicated, but it works everywhere. I think there won’t be any gaps like in Sochi, the results will be tighter.
