Biathlete Latypov said he will compete in only one race at the Russian Championships in Tchaikovsky

Triple Olympic medalist in biathlon Edward Latypov told that he would only take part in the Russian Championship relay to Tchaikovsky.

On Saturday, Latypov took sixth place in the pursuit of the Belarusian stage of the PARI Commonwealth Cup. The Russian made six misses.

– Are you able to drive psychologically after a bad shot?

– “Wow” – that’s what I say to myself when I miss, – said Latypov. – It’s obviously unpleasant, but it’s biathlon. Today I did not face the weather conditions. We have to do an analysis, see where the shots went. Somehow it didn’t work out today. Come on, it’s time.

– Belarusians will not go to Chaikovsky due to the large number of departures in the summer. You go?

– I agree with them. So far I don’t have a glut, but now we’re having this tournament and that’s it. It will be easier. In Tchaikovsky, I will only run the relay.

The program of the Russian Championship, which will take place from September 24 to 27, will include sprint, relay and mass start.
