Coach Russian team for cross-country skiing Yuri Borodavko in an interview with admitted that after joining Ivan Yakimushkin in his group, he had to have a conversation with him and Alexander Bolshunov because before that, the athletes had a conflict.

They had to decide it among themselves as men, and they did. To be honest, I don’t even know what the reason for the misunderstanding was. I just see that now they communicate quite well and they don’t have any problems in their relationship,” Borodavko told .
Bolshunov is a world skiathlon champion, three-time Olympic champion and two-time World Cup winner. Yakimushkin is the silver medalist of the Olympics and world championships.
