The President of the Russian Biathlon Union (RBU) Viktor Maigurov told that for better contact between the leadership of the organization and the athletes, a new body may appear – the Athletes’ Committee.
— I would like to propose to our biathletes to create a committee of athletes, which can include up to five people who will become a guide between the athletes and the RRF. This practice is in the IBU. Additionally, the IBU’s constitution states that the Athletes’ Committee Chair is a member of the organization’s Executive Committee. Maybe we’ll get there too. I think it’s the right story, so there’s no scattered information. We will take into account not only the opinion of the coaches, but also of the athletes. I consider this an effective mechanism,” Maygurov said.
