The program of the Russian summer biathlon championship will begin on Tuesday with a minute’s silence in memory of those killed in a shooting at a school in Izhevsk, said Sergey Averyanov, head of the press service of the Russian Union biathlon (RBU).
The incident happened on Monday morning at school number 88 in the center of Izhevsk, not far from the city’s administrative building. In Udmurtia, after the shooting in a school in Izhevsk, mourning was decreed for the victims from September 26 to 29.
– In connection with the tragedy in Izhevsk, tomorrow’s program of the Russian Championship will begin with a minute of silence. We express our condolences to the families of the victims,” Averyanov wrote on the Telegram channel.
On Tuesday, September 27, individual races for men and women will be held at the Russian Summer Biathlon Championship. Live broadcasts of the competition will be broadcast by the channel.
