Tight fight in men’s competitions and a big advantage of the winner in women’s
On the championship of Ukraine in summer biathlon took place sprint race.
The men’s competition was won by Artem Tishchenko, who was one of the few who accurately shot all the targets. Just over six seconds, Ruslan Tkalenko lost to him, who had three penalty loops. Anton Dudchenko won bronze with two penalties, 17 seconds behind the winner.
In the women’s sprint, such a tight fight did not work out. Anastasia Merkushina showed the best move in the race and perfect shooting, beating her closest rival for over a minute. Daria Blashko finished second with one penalty. Bronze medal unexpectedly snatched Lyubov Kipyachenkova, who managed to win back 12 seconds behind third place after the final shooting.
On Tuesday, the final competitions of the Ukrainian Summer Biathlon Championship 2022 will take place – the pursuit race. The tournament will be held in an abbreviated two-day format.
