Warren: Fury is very disappointed, let’s see what happens next

Tyson switched to fight with Manuel Charr

Frank Warrenpromoter of WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (32-0-1, 23 KOs), has not yet spoken to his protégé about withdrawing from the fight against the ex-world champion Anthony Joshua (24-3, 22 KOs). Recall that Fury switched to a duel with Manuel Charr (21-1, 11 KOs).

“This is Tyson’s last word and that’s where we are. I haven’t even talked to him yet, he’s very, very disappointed, so we’ll see.”

“For me, he set a deadline of ten days after he sent the contract [Джошуа]. A few people said it didn’t make sense, but it’s ten days.

In football you have a transfer deadline and sometimes there is a last minute struggle to find players and get them. Let’s see what happens next, but at the moment I feel like we are where we are.”

Fury insists he pulled out of a fight with former world champion Anthony Joshua. At the same time, Frank Warren said that he still hopes to fight Tyson with Joshua.

Charr, in response to Fury’s statement, said that Joshua still has a chance to fight Tyson. If not, then he is ready to fight Fury.

37-year-old Charr had his last fight in May of this year, in which he defeated Nikola Milacic.

Fury has previously stated that he no longer intends to fight Joshua, as the time for reflection for Anthony is up. Tyson gave an ultimatum to Joshua to sign a contract by Monday, September 26th. Fury said that the negotiations were too long and he did not want Anthony to dictate his terms to him.

Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn said there was no chance of signing an agreement in such a short time. According to Hearn, in this way Fury decided to avoid a fight.
