Two ex-world champions could meet in the ring
Former World Heavyweight Champion Deontay Wilder announced his readiness to fight against another former world heavyweight champion – Andy Ruiz.
“When I enter the ring, I am always confident. So I’m looking forward to the fight with Ruiz,” said Deontay.
In his last fight, Ruiz defeated Luis Ortiz via unanimous decision. At the same time, Andy knocked down the opponent three times. After the fight, Ruiz challenged Deontay Wilder to a face-to-face fight.
Wilder will face Robert Helenius on October 15 in Brooklyn. The WBO/WBA/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk plans to attend the fight.
In addition to a possible fight with Usyk, which could take place in the United States, Wilder is counting on a fourth head-to-head fight with WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.
