Junior boxing team of Ukraine left the European Championship

IBA did not allow our boxers to compete under the national flag

Junior national boxing team of Ukraine left Europe championshipwhich takes place in Italy.

This decision was made after the International Boxing Federation (IBA) did not allow the Ukrainian team to compete in Italian Montesilvano under the national flag.

“This incident was deliberately created by FSB agent Umar Kremlev and collaborator Volodymyr Prodivus to whitewash their reputation and create the appearance that Prodivus is protecting the interests of Ukraine. First, the IBA, in which Volodymyr Prodivus is vice president, accepted this scandalous ban, and then this same vice president acted as a defender of Ukrainian boxers.”

“Our team, the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Boxing Federation of Ukraine express their protest against the unacceptable and insulting decisions of the IBA, defiling the honor of Ukraine.”

“For our boxers, the honor of Ukraine is more important than medals from the hands of enemies and traitors,” the FBU said in a statement.

Recall that due to the conflict between the FBU and the IBA, the junior team of Ukraine was forced to compete at the European Boxing Championship, which takes place in Italy, under a neutral flag. However, Ukrainian athletes held a protest against this decision and refused to compete at the European Championships.

President of the Boxing Federation of Ukraine Kirill Shevchenko said that the decision of the IBA is directly related to Volodymyr Prodivus, who holds the post of vice president in the organization. Prodivus himself, commenting on the scandal with the Ukrainian team, promised to resolve the situation.

Earlier, the IBA suspended the activities of the Boxing Federation of Ukraine. The organization considered that the state bodies of Ukraine were interfering in the work of the sports organization.
