Tyson promises to fight another division fighter
WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury stated that he would like to fight in the future with Joe Joycewho recently became the interim WBO champion.
“I looked at these avenues, [которые] are mandatory for world championship titles – [Чжан Чжилей] and [Филип Хргович] and everyone else – I’ve changed my mind and I think the big Joe Joyce is the number two heavyweight behind me.”
“One day we will have to find out who is better – me or him. But for now, I’m running the show in the division because I’m the heavyweight champion of the world, not him. But he’s coming fast as hell.”
Recall that Joyce knocked out Joseph Parker and became the interim WBO heavyweight champion. After defeating Parker, Joyce challenged Oleksandr Usyk to fight.
Later, the Briton said that he would be interested in fighting former world heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder.
Frank Warren, Fury’s promoter, said Tyson was disappointed with the situation around the fight against former world champion Anthony Joshua. Recall that Fury switched to a duel with Manuel Charr.
