Joyce’s next fight will be in March.
Promoter Frank Warren commented on a possible fight between the WBA / WBO / IBF / IBO heavyweight title holder Oleksandr Usyk and interim WBO champion Joe Joyce.
“If I were Usyk, would I want to fight him? I think Usyk will agree, because they have a history in amateurs. To be honest, I don’t know how Usyk can beat him. He will try to outbox him, but I think Joyce will just wear down Usyk because he is so big. And he won’t leave him. I think he will give Usyk many, many problems.”
According to Warren, Joyce will fight his next fight in March. And it could be a fight against Usyk, because the Ukrainian will need to defend the WBO title.
Recall that Joyce knocked out Joseph Parker and became the interim WBO heavyweight champion. After defeating Parker, Joyce challenged Oleksandr Usyk to fight.
Earlier, Joyce said that he wants to take revenge from the Ukrainian for the defeat in the semi-professional World Series of Boxing (WSB), which he suffered in 2013.
