Joyce: Parker was tough and I had to dig deeper.

The Briton became the interim WBO champion and claims to fight Usyk

Interim WBO Heavyweight Champion Joe Joyce spoke about how difficult it was to knock out in a recent fight Joseph Parker.

“I’m a little tired. Joseph Parker is a great fighter and gave me a tough fight. I really enjoyed it, but it was tough and I had to dig deeper to get through the rounds. I tried everything, hit him as best I could, hit him on the body, but he stubbornly walked at me. Yes, I managed to drop it at the end, but it was hard work.”

Recall that Joyce knocked out Parker and became the interim WBO heavyweight champion. Oleksandr Usyk, who owns the WBO belt, will now be required to defend his title with Joyce.

Tyson Fury predicted Joyce’s chances in possible fights against Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk.
