Athletistic/ MMA. 45-year-old Russian mixed martial arts fighter Alexei Oleinik has explained why he still performs professionally, despite his impressive age.
“I make a lot of money doing it. If I don’t fight, I don’t get it. I don’t have a business or other source of income. I trained and coached all my life and I have a nice big family. My knowledge of martial arts is my greatest asset,” Oleinik said.
The last time Alexey fought in the octagon was on October 1, 2022 with Swedish fighter Ilir Latifi. Oleinik lost the fight via unanimous decision. This defeat was the 17th for the Russian for the entire duration of performances in mixed martial arts since 1996. Oleinik also has 60 wins and 1 draw.
The fighter has been performing in the UFC since 2014. Under the auspices of the organization, Alexei fought 17 fights – won 9 times and lost 8 times.
