The Ukrainian national team continues its performance at the Junior European Championship after the IBA allowed our boxers to compete under the national flag
Ukrainian women Victoria Shcherbina and Taisiya Pokusai become bronze medalists European Junior Championships in Montesilvano (Italy).
In the semi-finals, Shcherbina (weight category over 80 kg) lost to the German Victoria Elena Gat – 2: 3 and guaranteed herself a bronze medal.
Pokusay (up to 46 kg) lost the semifinal fight to Anna-Maria Trifuli (Greece) and also took third place in the championship.
Recall that the International Boxing Association (IBA) allowed Ukrainian boxers to compete under the national flag at international tournaments.
Earlier, the Ukrainian junior boxing team left the European Championship, which takes place in Italy. This decision was made after the IBA did not allow the Ukrainian team to compete under the national flag.
