Russian and Belarusian boxers will return to competitions under the auspices of the International Boxing Association (IBA) under their national flags and anthems. This was reported to in the organisation’s press service.
“All restrictions on the national teams of Russia and Belarus have been lifted, these two teams will play in the same status as all other teams – under their own flag and with an anthem,” the press service said.
Earlier, the board of directors of the International Boxing Association (IBA) voted to admit boxers from Russia and Belarus to competitions under the auspices of the organization with the decision taking immediate effect.
