The leadership of the International Boxing Association continues to show its love for the aggressor countries.
All sanctions were lifted from Russian and Belarusian boxers and from now on they are admitted to all international competitions. This decision was made by the International Boxing Association (IBA).
It says that all sanctions previously imposed on representatives of the aggressor countries in response to the outbreak of a full-scale war against Ukraine have been lifted.
At the same time, according to Inside the Games, Ukraine itself is limited by the decision of the IBA Board of Directors. Today, in international competitions, our athletes will compete for a team called “Ukrainian IBA Team”, but under the national blue and yellow flag.
“The IBA firmly believes that athletes should not suffer, regardless of the circumstances, and should be able to represent their country with pride,” the IBA Board of Directors said in a statement.
It was reported that such a decision regarding Ukrainian boxers was made in light of the previously approved decision to dissolve the Boxing Federation of Ukraine.
It can be recalled that it was previously reported that boxing may not be included in the Olympics due to IBA’s relationship with Russia.
