“I watched Makhachev’s fight with Thiago Moises. He beat him easily, keeping the whole fight in the net. I see how Makhachev is developing as an athlete, and I think he’s a danger. But I considers Charles the favorite because he is the champion. Lately he has fought all the strong fighters and he has beaten them all. Makhachev has a dangerous style and he is not a fool on earth. He will finish off the enemy. Oliveira is unpredictable, he can knock out, he can hold a submission, he can take a beating. I would bet on Charles,” Martins said.
The fight between Martins and Makhachev took place on October 3, 2015. In it, the Brazilian fighter knocked out the Russian in the second minute of the first round. For Makhachev, this fight was the second under the auspices of the UFC organization. Since then, Islam has not known defeat for 10 battles. In total, the Russian has 22 wins, 1 loss, 0 draw in professional mixed martial arts.
