Tyson compared the level of Chisora with the Ukrainian champion
WBC World Heavyweight Champion Tyson Fury commented on his possible fight against Derek Chisora December 3 and compared his level with the WBA / WBO / IBF / IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk.
“In my opinion, Chisora deserved a draw against Usyk. So I see Chisora as dangerous in every way as Usyk. Have you watched this fight? It was a very good fight, very close. And I thought Chisora deserved to get a chance.”
“Usyk’s manager also counted a draw in that fight, if I remember correctly. So Chisora is not a trifle.”
Recall that Fury and Chisora can hold a face-to-face fight on December 3 in Cardiff. Representatives of the boxers agreed on all the terms of the fight. The official announcement of the fight should take place in the near future.
For Fury and Chisora, this will be the third face-to-face confrontation in their careers. Before that, the Gypsy King defeated Derek twice – in 2011 and 2014.
Tyson was supposed to fight with Briton Anthony Joshua, but the parties failed to agree on the terms and sign a contract for the fight. Fury’s side says that AJ’s promoter Eddie Hearn is to blame for the disruption of the fight.
Tyson’s father, John Fury, said his son is considering three candidates to replace Joshua: Filip Hrgovic, Andy Ruiz and Luis Ortiz.
Recall that in November 2020, Usyk defeated Chisora by unanimous decision.
