Fight with Fury, most likely, will not happen
Former world champion Anthony Joshua in the near future may decide on a new opponent.
Promoter Eddie Hearn announced his willingness to make a deal with any of the top 15 boxing rankings. However, according to Hearn, the likelihood of a fight with Tyson Fury is extremely small.
“Otto Wallin, Joe Joyce — looking at them. In general, we can fight with any of the top 15. Joshua is open to any opponent.”
“Fury? No. I don’t think this fight will happen.”
Recall that another of the contenders for the fight with the British heavyweight is 39-year-old Chinese Zhang Zhilei.
In August, Joshua lost by split decision to Ukrainian boxer, WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk.
Anthony has been in talks with WBC champion Tyson Fury for a fight in late 2022. However, the parties could not agree on the final details of the contract.
