Wilder: I don’t want to scare Usyk

The American boxer hopes to fight the Ukrainian champion soon.

Former world heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder shares his opinion about a possible fight with WBA, WBO and IBF title holder Alexander Usyk.

According to the American athlete, he is ready to enter the ring with the Ukrainian, but does not want to scare him.

“I will do what I have to do. I don’t want to make big statements. I don’t want to scare him off. Usyk says he wants to fight the winner of my fight with Helenius. The last guy who wanted to fight the the winner of my fight was Joseph Parker But in that fight, I scored a crushing knockout, and he went the other way.

I will do what I must do. I hope that Usyk is a man of his word, and then we will see a great fight,” said Wilder as quoted by Express.

It will be remembered that the next fight of the Americans will be held on October 15 against Robert Helenius.

Earlier, Deontay Wilder said he would definitely like to meet Oleksandr Usyk in the ring for the Ukrainian champion’s titles.
