Russian mixed martial artist Movsar Evloyev was forced to withdraw from the upcoming battle against the Americans Bryce Mitchell Nov. 5 due to injury, according to MMA Fighting, citing sources.
The fight was scheduled to headline UFC Fight Night 214.
Rumors swirled that Evloev suffered an injury in training camp and it was hoped that he would still be able to compete. The nature of the fighter’s injury has not been revealed, but he will not be able to participate in the tournament.
The UFC is currently looking for an opponent for Mitchell.
Evloev, 28, has 16 wins and 0 losses. In his last fight, Evloev defeated American Dan Ige via unanimous decision in June 2022 at UFC Fight Night 207.
