Devin is ready for a possible fight with Lomachenko
Undisputed World Lightweight Champion Devin Haney commented on the victory in the rematch over George Kambosos and talked about his next opponents.
“My dad wanted me to use the hook more, but I felt like I won the fight tonight with my right hand. Yes, using the right hand against the left is always correct. He is a warrior. I take my hat off to George Kambosos.”
“I should definitely be in the P4P rankings. In the first fight, he said that I only had a jab. Today I showed myself with my right hand. I showed my versatility. I’ve been to Australia twice and beat this guy twice in his hometown. I definitely deserve to be in the P4P rankings.”
“I will fight against all comers. It doesn’t matter who it is. I want to fight the best fighters in the world. I believe that I am the best fighter in the world. Whoever the next opponent is, I’m ready for him.”
Haney won again against Kambosos and retained the WBC, WBA Super, IBF and WBO lightweight titles.
Haney’s next opponent could be Ukrainian Vasily Lomachenko, as the American has repeatedly stated.
Lomachenko will return to the ring on October 29 at the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York. The opponent of the Ukrainian will be Jamaine Ortiz.
