American knocked out Helenius and wants big fights again
Former World Heavyweight Champion Deontay Wilder commented on his victory over the Finnish boxer Robert Helenius and challenged the WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk.
“I lured him in, let him get closer. And when he got close, I caught him. It was a great fight. Who will be next? There were rumors about Usyk, but I don’t see him here. Most of the time, fighters say they want to fight me, but when I show myself and give knockouts like that, they turn the corner.”
“I am ready to fight anyone. Andy Ruiz or Usyk, let’s arrange it. Deontay Wilder is back, the hype is back in the heavyweight division. There is no heavyweight without Deontay Wilder and that’s a fact.”
Recall that Wilder defeated Helenius by knockout in the first round.
Wilder became a contender for the WBC heavyweight championship belt. The WBC title belongs to British Tyson Fury.
Earlier it was reported that the WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO world heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk plans to attend the Wilder vs. Helenius fight. The Ukrainian said that Wilder could become his next opponent.
