National team Russia won the medal standings at the World Junior Sambo Championship, held in Yerevan.
The Russian team won 39 gold, seven silver and five bronze medals. In total, the Russian team has 51 medals, which is also the best result of the tournament.
The second place was occupied by the team of Kazakhstan (5 gold/13 silver/24 bronze), the third by the team of Uzbekistan (3/7/7).
A total of 17 teams participated in the tournament. The Russian team competed under the flag of the International Sambo Federation (FIAS) and under the name FIAS 1.
