In the first fight, the Australian got on the scale twice before he could enter the category limit
Undisputed World Lightweight Champion Devin Haney and former title holder George Kambosos went through the weigh-in procedure before their second fight.
Boxers showed almost equal weight. Haney recorded a mark of 61.1 kg (134.81 pounds) and was 0.3 kg heavier than the former champion (60.8 kg or 134.04 pounds).
Note that before their first fight, the Australian went beyond the limit of 135 pounds. Kambosos had to return two hours later to re-weigh, dropping 0.4 kg.
Haney will have a rematch with Kambosos on the night of October 16th at the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne, Australia.
Recall that in the duel for the title of absolute world champion Haney defeated Kambosos by unanimous decision of the judges – 116:112, 116:112 and 118:110. After that, George activated the option of a rematch with the American.
