Ukrainian helps prepare Finnish heavyweight
Ukrainian heavyweight boxer Vladislav Sirenko (19-0, 16 KOs) shared his expectations from the Finnish heavyweight fight Robert Helenius (31-3, 20 KOs) with ex-world champion Deontay Wilder (42-2-1, 41 KOs).
“I always say that at heavyweight it is very difficult to predict how the fight will go. Every boxer always has a chance. It is very difficult to understand how good Wilder is now after his loss.
I think it’s understandable that Robert Helenius is in the twilight of his career, but you can never put him on the back burner.”
“It is very difficult to predict this fight. I see Wilder, who can win by knockout early in the fight. And I see how Helenius can win this duel. I don’t know, but I’m sure it will be very interesting.”
Earlier, Sirenko signed a multi-year contract with manager Keith Connolly. The manager is known for his work with Ukrainian Sergey Derevyanchenko and arranged for him to fight Danny Jacobs. The Ukrainian has become Helenius’ sparring partner and is helping the Finn prepare for the fight with Wilder.
Wilder’s fight with Helenius will take place in Brooklyn on the night of October 15-16. Oleksandr Usyk plans to attend this fight. The Ukrainian has previously said that Wilder could be his next opponent.
