Devin is ready to fight with the Ukrainian
Undisputed World Lightweight Champion Devin Haney spoke about the possible fight with the ex-world champion in three weight categories Vasily Lomachenko.
“The fight with Lomachenko definitely interests me. We just need to see what happens next.”
“Whoever it is, I want to fight the best fighters in the world. However, I believe that the best fighter in the world is me.”
In October, Haney defeated George Kambosos again and retained the WBC, WBA Super, IBF and WBO lightweight titles. Devin himself has repeatedly stated his readiness to meet Lomachenko in the ring.
The Ukrainian boxer will return to the ring on October 29. Lomachenko’s fight with Jemaine Ortiz will take place at the Hulu Theater in Madison Square Garden in New York.
Lomachenko had his last fight in December last year, defeating Richard Commey by unanimous decision. Subsequently, Vasily could fight with George Kambosos, but refused it against the backdrop of a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.
