Mineev: “I won’t have time for the training camp in Makhachkala, I will prepare for the fight with Rodriguez in Mariupol”

Russian MMA fighter, AMC Fight Nights league champion Vladimir Mineev told that he planned to spend part of the preparation for the fight with the Brazilian Fernando Rodriguez in Makhachkala, but that he would not have time to hold a training camp there and would prepare for Mariupol .

The fight between Mineev and Rodriguez is set to take place in Moscow on November 18 under kickboxing rules.

– I will prepare for the battle of Mariupol. We had really planned with Rasul (Magomedaliev) to spend part of the preparation there, in Makhachkala. But there is little time left, and I will not have the time to physically come and collect money. Now Mariupol is where I need to be in the first place to help both our builders establish communications and local athletes transition to Russian document management.

On behalf of the governor of the Ulyanovsk region, Alexei Yuryevich Russkikh, I oversee not only the construction of sports facilities and infrastructure, but also the restoration of social and cultural amenities. Already this Saturday we will hold a children’s football tournament in Mariupol for the Ulyanovsk Builders’ Awards,” Mineev told .

Earlier it became known that Mineev received a summons to the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation as part of a partial mobilization. The fighter admitted to that he wanted to “slam the door” on a fight with Rodriguez before leaving.
