Athletistic/ MMA. Russian mixed martial arts fighter Vyacheslav Vasilevsky called Brazilian Charles Oliveira’s only advantage over Russia’s Islam Makhachev.

“I think Makhachev will defeat Oliveira. He is superior to his opponent in almost every aspect. The only exception is the choke hold, which Oliveira does very well, especially from the back. But the control, the physicality, translations, work in the rack are better for Makhachev,” Vasilevsky noted.

Islam Makhachev (22-1-0) and Charles Oliveira (33-8-0 (1)) will meet Oct. 22 at UFC 280 in Abu Dhabi. Their fight will be the main event of the night and the winner will take the vacant UFC lightweight belt.

Charles Oliveira is undefeated since 2018 – he has won 11 fights in a row. Islam Makhachev has not lost since 2016, his winning streak is 10 fights.
