Athletistic/ MMA. Former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov of Russia says he isn’t even considering the possibility of returning to mixed martial arts.
“I don’t miss fighting. All my life it was in my hands, but never in my heart. Of course, I loved it, because you have to love what you do. I was a big fan because my goal was to become the best, to become a champion. But when I retired, it was all over. Nothing will ever bring me back,” Khabib said.
Nurmagomedov retired from mixed martial arts in 2020. His last fight was with American Justin Gaethje, whom Khabib defeated with a second-round triangle choke. Nurmagomedov has 29 wins, 0 losses, 0 draws in professional MMA.
Khabib defended the UFC lightweight title for two years, which he won on April 7, 2018 in a fight with American Al Iaquinta (Khabib won by unanimous decision).
