Athletistic/ MMA. Chechen-born Swedish fighter Khamzat Chimaev will travel to the UFC 280 tournament in Abu Dhabi to discuss his next fight with promotion management.

This was reported to TASS by a representative of the athlete’s team. The last time Khamzat fought in the octagon on September 10, 2022 was with American Kevin Holland, whom he defeated by Brabo starter. Chimaev has 12 wins, 0 losses, 0 draws in professional mixed martial arts. Earlier, Khamzat, who sits in the third row of the UFC’s top welterweight fighter rankings, announced his move up to middleweight.

The main event of the UFC 280 tournament will be a UFC lightweight title fight between Brazilian Charles Oliveira and Russian Islam Makhachev. The co-main event is a UFC bantamweight title fight between current champion belt holder, American Aljamain Sterling, and fellow U.S. Rep, TJ Dillashaw. The tournament will take place on October 22.
