Lomachenko: My goal is to become the undisputed world champion

On October 29, Vasily will return to the ring after a long pause.

Former world champion in three divisions Vasily Lomachenko spoke about his future plans and announced his readiness to fight with any opponent in his weight category.

“I don’t care who I fight. I need all four titles. Of course, my goal is to become the absolute world champion,” Lomachenko said.

“It doesn’t matter who my opponent is. I don’t feel pressure. Our weight category is now the most interesting in the world, there are many strong fighters here. I think that we all need to fight each other, after which we will determine who is the best.

The Ukrainian boxer will return to the ring on October 29. Lomachenko’s fight with Jemaine Ortiz will take place at the Hulu Theater in Madison Square Garden in New York.

Lomachenko fought his last fight in December last year, defeating Richard Commey by unanimous decision. Subsequently, Vasily could have fought George Kambosos, but he refused it against the backdrop of a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.

After the fight with Ortiz, Vasily wants, first of all, to fight with lightweight Devin Haney, who holds the WBC, WBA Super, IBF and WBO champion titles. Devin himself has repeatedly stated his readiness to meet Lomachenko in the ring.
