Maria Bova brought silver to the team
Ukraine won three gold medals at the 2022 European Women’s Boxing Championship, which ended in Montenegro.
Tatyana Kob in the category up to 52 kilograms she defeated Venelina Poptoleva from Bulgaria. Anastasia Kovalchuk (up to 54 kg) was stronger than Bojana Vojkovic from Montenegro. BUT Maria Lovchinskaya (category over 81 kg) won the fight against Aynur Rzayeva from Azerbaijan.
Another medal was brought to the Ukrainian team by Maria Bova in the category up to 63 kilograms. The Ukrainian lost to Sarah Amy Broadhurst from Ireland and received a silver medal.
Recall that two more Ukrainians stopped at the semi-final stage and received bronze medals. Raisa Piskun (up to 81 kg) lost to Gabriela Stonkule from Lithuania, and Anastasia Chernokolenko (up to 75 kg) could not pass Elzbieta Wuytsik from Poland.
The European Championship in Budva was held from 14 to 22 October.
