“The fight is by split decision, and by one point. It’s difficult to talk about refereeing. If you count according to the rules of boxing, then I would give the victory to Peter with a score of 29-28”, said said Tszyu.
Sean O’Malley defeated Petr Yan by split decision (29-28, 29-28, 28-29), despite Yan outperforming his opponent in all key statistical points. Well-known mixed martial arts athletes and analysts also agreed that the Russian fighter won the battle.
For Jan, this defeat was the second in a row and the fourth of his career with 16 victories. Because of Sean O’Malley – 16 wins, 1 loss, 0 draw and 1 fight, acknowledged as not happening.
