The boxers of the aggressor countries will miss the tournament due to the fact that they do not have time to prepare for the championship. At the same time, the International Boxing Association (IBA) allowed Russians and Belarusians to participate in international tournaments earlier.
Youth World Cup will be held from 14 to 26 November in La Nucia (Spain). For Russians and Belarusians, this was supposed to be the first official tournament after the admission of the IBA.
Earlier, the president of the IBA, Russian Umar Kremlev, called for Russian and Belarusian athletes to be returned to all sports competitions.
The IBA also confirmed the permission for Ukrainian boxers to compete under the national flag in international tournaments. Earlier, the IBA suspended the activities of the Boxing Federation of Ukraine. The organization considered that the state bodies of Ukraine were interfering in the work of the sports organization.
