Lomachenko defeated the American Ortiz

The fight lasted all 12 rounds and ended in favor of Vasily Lomachenko by unanimous decision.

Former world champion in three weight categories Ukrainian Vasily Lomachenko (17-2, 11 KOs) successfully returned to the ring on October 29, defeating American Jemaine Ortiz (16-0-1, 8 KOs) in the USA by unanimous decision.

Boxing night was held in New York at the Hulu Theater in the legendary Madison Square Garden.

The main lightweight fight was designed for 12 rounds, lasted the entire distance and ended in favor of Lomachenko by unanimous decision (115-113, 116-112, 117-11).

The actual fight between the 34-year-old Lomachenko and the 26-year-old Ortiz turned out to be more competitive than expected. The American acted confidently in the attack and was not much inferior to the Ukrainian in terms of activity and the number of accurate shots.

CompuBox’s punch statistics showed that Lomachenko was less effective in his attacking moves and received more from his opponent than in previous fights.

Thus, Vasily won 17 professional victories, and Ortiz suffered the first defeat of his career.
