Vasily Vakulenko commented on the outcome of former UFC bantamweight champion BC PARI Ambassador Petr Yan’s fight.
“Peter’s victory was obvious to me. Perhaps he lost because of the judges’ sympathy for the opponent. Tonight several of our athletes won the tournament, maybe that’s why. The fight was interesting, the three rounds Peter showed a high level. However, a combination of factors determined the outcome.
I wish Peter not to despair and to keep moving forward. The harder the path, the sweeter the victory. I know Peter personally as a wonderful person and an incredible athlete. I am sure that all great achievements are ahead of him.
Recall that on October 22 at the UFC 280 tournament in Abu Dhabi, Peter Yan and Sean O’Malley fought. The American won by split decision.
