Russian mixed martial artist Askar Askarov on a social network announced his departure from the American promotion of the UFC.
– Due to the fact that my return was delayed for health reasons, and it was my last fight under contract (with Brandon Royal), I asked the UFC to release me, to which I received a positive response. First, we will put our health in order, then we will see what and how,” Askarov wrote.
The fight between the Russian and Royval was supposed to take place on October 15, but Askarov pulled out of the fight. In total, Askarov had 13 wins in 15 fights during his career.
