“Colby, July 30, I accept,” Poirier wrote on his Twitter page, noting that he intends to fight Covington at UFC 277, which takes place on the night of July 30-31 in Las. Vegas.
Dustin Poirier last entered the octagon on December 11, 2021 – in a fight with Brazilian Charles Oliveira, he was defeated by rear naked choke in the 3rd round. Colby Covington’s last fight to date is dated March 5, 2022 – in this one, Colby defeated American Jorge Masvidal by unanimous decision, after which he defiantly challenged Poirier.
