The Ukrainian world champion’s team has said what they will do if the fight with Fury fails.
Oleksandr Usyk will definitely enter the ring in late February or early March. This was announced by the promoter of WBO, WBA and IBF heavyweight champion Alexander Krasyuk.
According to the functionary, if the fight for the title of absolute world champion against Tyson Fury fails, then the Ukrainian side has options for fights with other boxers.
“There is a plan B, a plan C. We are also talking in the Middle East, we have some options. The conditions of these negotiations are like this: if we have force majeure here, then we are closely involved in organizing a conflict that in other conditions and, most likely, with other participants.
All of these are alternatives. For us, the main thing is the fight for the absolute world champion. Everything else will be a compromise.
Of course, we have plan B, plan C. We are already working on them. But we are actually working in the mode of alternative options, because our full emphasis is on the absolute world championship. This fight probably has a chance to be historic,” Krasyuk said on the BoxOffice podcast.
