Despite the defeat, Bia Ferreira managed to make history for Brazil. In 2019, the Brazilian had been the world champion of the category and, this time, she took silver. No other female fighter in the country has achieved this feat and she was the first. The result at the Istanbul World Cup, by the way, follows a gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics.
