WBC World Heavyweight Champion Tyson’s Fury said he may need elbow surgery, which means postponing a potential unification bout with Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk to early next year.
“I have problems with my arm and may need elbow surgery, but after that I’m ready for any opponent. I had surgery on my left elbow in October 2021 after my third fight with Wilder. It will take six to eight weeks to recover,” Fury said.
The day before, Fury defended his title in a fight with compatriot Derek Chisora, winning by technical knockout.
