The fight is scheduled to take place in February-March next year.
Head of Top Rank Bob Arum told how negotiations are progressing on the organization fight for the title of absolute world heavyweight champion between WBA/WBO/IBF/IBO title holder Oleksandr Usyk and WBC champion Tyson Fury.
“We are now receiving offers from all over the world and hopefully next week we will be able to make an announcement.”
Usyk’s manager, Egis Klimas, said that negotiations for a fight for the title of undisputed heavyweight champion of the world are nearing completion. The Usyk-Fury fight could take place in February or early March next year.
The fight may be affected by the Briton’s injury, which he received in a fight with Derek Chisora. It is expected that Tyson will need 6-8 weeks to recover.
Earlier, Usyk commented on his preparation for the fight against Fury, and Bob Arum and Lennox Lewis assessed the chances of the Ukrainian in the unification fight with Fury.
